The Atelier Zuidvleugel is led by atelier principal Paul Gerretsen from the office Maxwan Architects and Urbanists. The core of the atelier consists of a team which, in different combinations, is assisted by designers from the Southwing-partners.
The activities of the atelier have different faces: making abstract notions visible, bringing together different plans and ideas and giving a podium voor the conversation on the Southwing. The working program describes the themes which the atelier will focus on.
- Atelier Zuidvleugel collects and studies with clear overviews of regional assignments and opportunities as a results.
- Atelier Zuidvleugel inspires and informs by formulating new insights and challenging concepts, generated by design-exercise.
- Atelier Zuidvleugel organises lectures and conversations in order to create a podium for an exciting exchange of experiences.
The Atelier is also a place in which can be experimented with new ways of work. Exchange of ideas and development of new concepts which can represent the Southwing as a spatial entity are generated within the daily dynamics in the Atelier. The results of this process can be used for implementation within regional, local and national administrations, but also by private institutions.
